Great (old) minds think alike.

Yeah, Ferguson is the only thing I ever watch on CBS. I can't remember the last primetime show of theirs that I watched: maybe Magnum PI? Was that CBS?

Adios, Sapito.

I love Dennis Miller's bit on the Andrew Dice Clay panic: "Folks, it's Fonzie with Tourette's Syndrome. Lighten up."

My wife's list:
"1. Frakes
2. Frakes
3. Frakes"

So right about Michael Dorn. Worf was a really popular character, but I've rarely heard people praise his performance the way they praise Stewart and Spiner. Dorn's a fucking pro.

I get all my news from the members of Korn. Munky had some really trenchant insights on the Arab Spring.

George C. Scott's Scrooge is fabulous. His accent comes and goes a little, but it's insignificant compared to the force of emotion he brings to the part. In so many versions, Scrooge (spoilers?) transforms from a gruff prick to a joyous moonbeam overnight: he's becomes a good man but kind of a sap. Scott's Scrooge is

Don't jerk me around, fella.

I think Farscape was too. All the casual sex, selfish behavior, bodily fluids, and truly *alien* aliens; there was just so much emphasis on the things Trek wouldn't do or didn't do well.

It really doesn't get rolling until Scorpius becomes the primary villain. Best TV series villain ever.

That's a great WKRP episode. The highlight is when Herb shows up to the spontaneous party without a tree, and they tell him he can't stay if he doesn't have one, and he actually starts to leave.

I'll keep Jesus. You keep your po-ta-to pancakes.
But I hope that you enjoy 'em, on behalf of all the goyim.

Rigel and Gordon Shumway would get along great.

In the last hour, the CBC has run 2 different stories about the Knucklefuck hatred, and an extra 10-minute-long feature on just how much they suck.

I didn't even realize it had been that long, but ARCtU ran from 2002-04. I haven't seen it since the original run either, so it may not be as good as I remember. Except for Paget Brewster's character: she was awesome, and time won't change that.

Did you like "Andy Richter Controls the Universe," Arch? If yes, you'll like "Ted."

Yeah, the CBC has some excellent radio: Afghanada, the Irrelevant Show, Ideas, Wiretap, and the Debaters are all good. I'm not sure if they're all available as podcasts: Afghanada is, but you have to pay for it.

That's true. I won't argue that it makes sense. It just amused me so much that the flaws didn't bother me.

Wow, I'm amazed at the hate "Genesis" is getting. I thought it was a fun episode, one of the better ones in the generally weak 7th season. Sure, the science sucks, but y'know it is Star Trek: the science often sucks.
