I never get why *this* tale of Paul Pierce ‘grit’ gets so much traction, when the stabbing story exists. Guy was stabbed 11 times, had a bottle smashed over his head, emergency surgury et al....and ~1 month later he suits up and proceeds to start all 82 games of an NBA season. IMO thats damn impressive.

When I was 16, my parents very graciously gave me their 12 year old Volvo 245. It was light blue with a dark blue interior with vinyl seats and a banging stereo (my dad is an audiophile). It had the Virgo wheels with really nice Michelin tires. This was the car I grew up in, so I was naturally in love with it.

She also expressed her feelings to him the next day. He heard her out and apologized. I see no reason to doubt the sincerity of his apology. His statement on the matter affirms that he took her words to heart.

This was a bad date. She had a horrible date with a clueless guy who thought he was being sexy and hot. She was made to feel uncomfortable, and it wasn’t right.

The story reads to me like a groupie dissatisfied she was treated like a groupie.
