If you read the Miami Herald’s take in this, Miami was recognized as a sanctuary city based on the fact that it rejected footing the cost of detaining undocumented immigrants indefinitely.

The Republicans both federal and state are building their own legislative wall that allows little to no distraction or obstruction of their long term plans and goals. Paul Ryan showed what little interest he has for people’s opinions of PP, when he had security guards block young citizens from delivering letters…

Also blame the Clintons on focusing on national races as opposed to the states. That started with Bill back when he was running against Bob Dole.

Yes both utilize it but the Republicans have utilized it the best. In 2012 Democrats got 1.4 million more votes than Republicans yet Rep. maintained control of the House and Senate, and will probably continue to do so till 2031.

We also need to get rid of gerrymandering. Your vote matters less if political candidates get to isolate you in districts they draw up to represent their view instead of the other way around. America isn’t more conservative, conservatives are just getting better at making sure they win elections by abusing the system.

What’s even more appalling is that you have so many young lawyers working and learning in the Federal court system who have never gone to trial. The proliferation of plea bargaining is so pervasive that a majority of young lawyers who are interning and spending the formative years of their careers learning how the law…

Fuck it. Leave it at 8. Ted Cruz said there’s legal precedent for not having 9 justices, I say hold them to it. We didn’t start off with 9 justices, and the GOP has no issue with holding a vacancy for a year and leaving the Supreme Court to have tied rulings. When one dies or retires we’ll be back to odd numbers…
