I guess it’s confusing to me because in Alaska we have both reindeer and caribou. Perhaps the reindeer are European caribou that were introduced here? It’s confusing because they both live here.

... caribou and reindeer are different animals. Maybe it’s because I grew up in northern Alaska but I am genuinely surprised people do not know this? They have different behavior, different preferences, and taste very different too 😊
