The price of oranges here in the Midwest out of season would make a glass cost about $5 plus all the effort of squeezing.

The island my family is from is one of the top 20 most obese nations in the world. Everyone there eats a lot of sugar and processed food, so really my mum’s Tang and frozen oj isn’t that surprising.
Not from concentrate isn’t real oj either. Flavor has to be added back in after the juice is sterilized. https://consumerist.com/2011/07/29/oj-…
Concentrate lemonade and limeade, on the other hand, is the shit.
Right? Look I feel bad for anyone losing their jobs and businesses in dying industries... but sorry, that concentrate crap is awful. Good riddance.
Frozen OJ concentrate is good for one thing and one thing only: Orange Dream Punch. Recipe is missing booze.
Yeah I was aware of what he was going through. Doesn’t make it any less tragic. I am not sure how to interpret the end of your comment. Remembering him and wishing better for him could not be doing his memory a disservice. I feel you were indicating it somehow was.
Ugh, that was the only juice my mother would ever buy when I was a kid... and then one day when we were on vacation, she made the mistake of letting me try some fresh squeezed. I would never drink that shit again. It’s not orange juice, it’s bitter, pulpy water.
Robin Williams had Lewy Body Dementia, which is not only terminal, it’s one of the worst diseases a human being can contract. It’s actually more brutal than Alzheimer’s, which is hard to even imagine. Robin was dying a horrible, excruciating death that included untreatable depression and hallucinations (a common…
I think the best thing we can do to honor him is what you’re doing - laugh and make others laugh with his brilliant humor. And with that I will add...
It was. That shit was terrifying growing up. Never could make it through that scene without burying myself in 40 pillows.
He basically told the producers, I want people to never know if he’s lying. So if I can come out in a cane and a limp, then a somersault, people will never know where Wonka’s truth is. The producers hemmed and hawed, but it was the cornerstone of Wilder’s performance.
Alzheimer’s can be particularly troublesome as well. 83 isn’t a bad number at all, and look at all the fantastic work he left behind. Remember the good times.
I remember reading that one of the conditions for Willy Wonka was he got to do a somersault.
I love that scene more than anything else. Abject horror smack in the middle of Candy Land. Gorgeous.
After my initial shock at the news subsided, I was actually more accepting since, at 83, he lived a really long life. Many people do not get to live nearly long enough. I got really choked up at the passing of Robin Williams, who had so much more life to live and so much more to give the world.
2016 could be worse.
“A man drink like that and he don’t eat, he is going to DIE.”
Don’t. Stop. Come back.
Probably watched his own movie and scared himself to death.
