Sorry but no. The shows I’ve gone to recently about 1/3 of the people have held up phones. All those screens distract from the experience and emit a harsh light that changes the ambiance. Stop making excuses, put your damn phone down and enjoy the moment.

There are videos of songs I’ve watched over and over because to me seeing them performed was incredibly powerful and this is the only way I can try to experience that again.

It’s just a swarm of phones in the air, it is the fucking WORST. Next time I’m gonna bring a super soaker and just shoot the phones down. Or bring a bunch of super bounce balls and just peg the phones with rubber & glitter bounce, OUT OF EVERYONE’S LINE OF SIGHT, YOU RUDE LITTLE AHOLES.

Ugh. Why did I even reply to you. You’re a troll who’s created two fake accounts to make the same comment and rile me up. Things I know about you: You’re not black. You’re male. You think you’re clever by trying to inspire outrage in black people to justify your racism. Go the fuck away.

I’m not short and I found myself ducking and weaving a sea of cell phone screens at a concert last week - NOT FUN! and highly annoying.

1. You don’t know me or my background.

Well, it is also one thing to take a 10 second video here and there but generally be present in the concert and it is a complete other thing to record the whole damn thing.

As a former live performer the iPad could be keeping her from focusing on her show. An Adele concert is likely more intimate than your average rock band show. She sings very emotional music, I get it. And selfishly, as a short concert goer I approve of this message.

I’m sure you would have just doxed the person instead.

You're...not a performer, are you

Believe it or not, the artists who are performing these shows have feelings that often differ from the official policy set by the venue or even their own tour. And since they are the ones providing the entertainment for the evening, they have every right to speak out about it. And, in this case, they are likely saying

cause your shitty phone is making it harder for all the people behind you to enjoy the show.

“...I’d really like you to enjoy my show because there’s lots of people outside that couldn’t come in.” From the article, about why she cares how people watch her show.

Adele is queen.

This shouldn’t have come as a huge surprise, given the headline.

Not a fan of the person holding up a big sign for the duration of the concert blocking those behind them either.

Black Sheep, fantastic film!

I demand this be made into a proper British comedy.

“Dude, let’s have some grass!”
