She’s really trying to use the excuse of being ignorant about blackface, after the entire country made Megyn Kelly’s dumbass a headline for days about the same thing?

I thought it was ironic that Harlem was shown as predominantly black on the show when IRL it’s the opposite.  I was always waiting for a gentrification scene but it never came.

Honestly, Dex driving around with the frozen corpse of Julie was one of the things that worked best for me. Her wide-open eyes were disturbing and Dex’s reaction felt authentically perverse. It was legitimately fucked up, rather than just sophomoric, which is how most of the ‘darkness’ on the show plays.

HBA?

How do you see that situation playing out once the police arrive? Would they be as accommodating to him, a black man, calling the police for help against a white woman? Would they question her? What if she were first to call the police, how would they respond to him then—even if he said he was “uncomfortable”?

Police look after their own...even if they don’t carry badges...

Does this change your opinion? It has with mine:

Peace” without justice is just the silencing of meretricious dissent.

First degree murder requires willful premeditation. This was spur of the moment reaction. The charge and verdict are good.

2nd degree is not a compromise. He’s guilty of murder. Manslaughter would have been a compromise.

You’re better off calling Ben and Jerry. Might even get a pint out of it too.

I’m white. You would not believe the racist, sexist, homophobic shit I’ve heard while in liberal enclaves in Vermont. Then again, I’m sure you actually would.I think it’s “good” white people who wouldn’t believe it.

Someone, get Bernie Sanders on this, stat!!

...the fuck?

You got me. I secretly hate black women. Good talk.

It is just a dumb analogy. Black men are over-represented in the prison population. We die the earliest. There are literally academic studies that show black men, no matter the class, bare the brunt impact of racism and prejudice.
