I have had many supernatural experiences, but none of them truly frightening. My scariest experience took place in broad daylight, and involved a creepy man.

I started babysitting at age 13 in the early 1990s. I freaked myself out so many times, just being young and into reading horror fiction, and staying at houses on the outskirts of the small town where there were fewer streetlights. So I have many overactive imagination stories, but this is one I still wonder about

I was studying abroad in Rome, almost a decade ago. Had a late night dinner with friends a few miles from my apartment. Finishing our food, my friends insisted I call a cab—it was almost 1:00 am and the streets back were poorly lit. Wanting to seem whimsical and self-sufficient, I refused.

the mug thing actually happens a lot if you put cold water in the glass, and condensed water forms a seal around the bottom edge. Air trapped beneath the glass will actually cause the glass to move or float across a surface. Fun fact.
