Do you think you are entitled to a seat just for carrying a child? People should get up, but don’t expect people to ever do things for you.

Not sure I like the idea of giving seats to pregnant women any more than I like expectant-mother parking spaces. Ladies are strong enough to not need such coddling.
Matt Levine is the best finance writer out there IMO - he wrote a longer post on this Point thing here: https://www.bloomberg.com/view/articles/…
Except “upset” is not now, and never has been, an excuse to bring frivolous litigation into court. The court system is not your therapist, it is not your friend. That's harsh, but it's true. If anybody took advantage of the grieving, it was the plaintiffs' attorneys - not the defendants.
What? Have you invested in anything at all in any point in your life? Any public facing investment, and many private investments, will be covered in disclaimers on risk, which includes the risk that you can lose money. For something like this it is legally required to include such disclaimers.
It’s the entire assumption here, it doesn’t need to be spelled out. Hamilton likes to play pretend economist/financial guru sometimes but anyone who knows anything can see right through him. Pay no mind.
You know when people say “it was the least that I could do”? This is literally the least that Kaepernick could do. He’s totally entitled to do it, but let’s not start comparing him to MLK or John Lewis (comparisons which I have actually read) or the freedom riders. Hell, this is even a far cry from Tommie Smith and…
This is not advanced financial jargon, you just know nothing about finance.
This, in a nutshell, is the problem with this issue. According to Kaepernick, the purpose of his protest is to “start a conversation,” right? Every article I read about this stresses the importance of an “honest conversation” or an “exchange of ideas,” or an “open dialogue” about race and police brutality. That’s a…
Oh right - I forgot that nuance was outlawed in 2009.
No, according to Kara Brown at Jez, if you don’t kneel during the anthem you are supporting the “oppressor.”
So basically, “Agree with Kap or shut the hell up”. It’s good to see free speech and protests are one way arguments.
Congratulations on calling me a racist! This is a unique take that works regardless of context and wins internet disputes every time. I’m surprised more people don’t employ this flawless strategy more often.
Criticize Deadspin? You must be a Trump voter!
I never implied Davo’s comments had different connotations depending on where they were given. I just pointed out that the author made a mistake whilst speaking as the voice of the just and enlightened from his high horse.
Yea, but then you won’t get likes and retweets so ...
Wait you mean you were so eager to tell everyone how wrong someone who disagrees with you was, you didn’t get the basics of the story first? 2016 “journalism” in a nut shell.
You make an excellent point that the NFL should have never gotten involved in these sort of things, but they never would have if they knew what illogical heights idiots like this blogger would take it to. I mean if you get a DUI tomorrow, does your employer step in and put you in programs and dock your pay? The…
Actually, some were. How do I know? I asked them. “We’re you ever spat on while in uniform?” I asked a Vietnam army vet.
