The headline should have been "England Is Mine, and it owes me a better movie."

Yeah. It seemed like a two-birds-one-stone scenario. I thought that it would leave Gendry unarmed, and that's how they get their Wight. But alas.

Just so he can run faster, right? That hammer's gotta be heavy as balls.

Ah… Great catch. For a second, I thought the show was positing that the Night King knew to make chains for his army, which was weird.

I hate nitpicking. I really do, but there's something that sincerely bothered me. I mean, I get that this is a show with magic and dragons an shit, but the walkers have gigantic fucking chains to pull a dragon out of the water? I mean, fuck me, right?

You can see the bones of Community revealing themselves, with more severity, in Rick and Morty. Community always used tropes and parody for some greater character purposes. "Modern Warfare" really is the best example of this, where the sexual tension between Jeff and Britta is personified by the action homage tension

Exploitation films like Pieces, Cannibal Holocaust, The Last House on the Left; Goodbye, Uncle Tom; Suspiria, etc. I can't explain why such inventive mutilation is so cathartic. It just is.

Hey, you know the best way to make a cultural entity disappear? Ignore it. Seriously. Don't give it the time of day. I don't love Ready Player One, and I do agree that much of it is 80s nostalgia/nerd porn, but there's nothing remotely interesting on shitting on something for the sake of shitting on it.

That almost sounds good.

I mean, it's the same food-related obsession the internet has had with bacon and nutella. Nothing new about this.

Not sure, but I sort of agree. Face/Off is fucking awesome, and SHOULD be ranked number one.

THIS LIST IS NOT PERFECT BECAUSE IT DOESN'T REFLECT MY TASTE EXACTLY. WHY AREN'T MOVIES LIKED IN THE ORDER I LIKE THEM BY EVERYONE ELSE??????

You know, there people in my life with whom I'm close to, and whom I love dearly who have never given me as kind a compliment as that.

I mean, they're all epics, but none of the feel like each other. Titanic does not feel like Star Wars, or Sound of Music, or even Gone with the Wind, really. These movies are all their own thing, despite being so broad.

Not really sure. I remember a lot of things from that time. I would have been older—maybe three or four. So, whatever you want to call that developmental stage.

That's a novelty. Titanic actually speaks to people in a profound way, probably because there is no bigger cinematic cipher. "The Macarena" isn't about anything. Titanic, ostensibly, is.

As much as I may not like it, there really is nothing else like Titanic on any level. Hell, even I saw it a couple times in theaters, and I was a toddler. Can't help but marvel at something like that.

Wait, if Dr. Wong specializes in stopping people from eating their own poop, are we gonna get J9zeta7 Rick back???

But then the show rolls with it anyway, which I like. You know what's better than originality? PICKLE RIIIIIIICK!!!!

Nothing for OK Computer, arguably the most critically acclaimed album of the decade? Boooo!!!
