Ah, shit! That just shows how crazy people are when the parody of the thing sounds like the thing itself.

Oh, I wholeheartedly agree - mine was a cynical comment. I really dislike people who force their own bad habits on animals, who, as you pointed out, have no choice in the matter.
Fat is largely unhealthy, but being fat =/= being a less worthy or moral human being.
Americans can't even not overfeed themselves.
I agree the company should have been more sensitive and were in the wrong, but it's the type of statements like "But you can't tell if someone is a man based on if they have a penis" made by the left (followed by immediately being called a transphobic piece of shit or something if you try to qualify that sentence in…
You don't have to have the same life experiences! But this is part of the larger conversation we have when we talk about women and feminism. We should absolutely be inclusive, but the issue is, IMO, more complex than Kat and others are presenting it.
Really? The myriad stories out there about men stalking, videotaping and harassing women isn't reason enough? You need to get outta that bubble.
This is really bad logic that ignores the inherent power dynamic between men and women coded into society for thousands of years, and the fact that most rapists, abusers of women, etc. are men. The issue is more complex than Kat is presenting it as.
I don't think it was implied that gluten (well, lack thereof) was the reason she felt better but the food itself. She was making and eating much more healthily. I think most people would feel better for that reason.
Heh
Because I expect better of people who claim to be—and usually are—very moral and who claim to fight systems of oppression. I don't expect a your average Republican to listen. I expect better of people on Jezebel, and experience has shown me that those expectations are misplaced.
Straw that broke the camel's back?
Nope, no personal beef with the writer. Just, in my overwhelmingly experience, most people don't care about animals and animal rights and how animals are treated, including the feminist community beyond kitten videos or the occasional attention-grabbing headline.
Yep. Pretty much.
Sure. Re the other comment, you don't know what people do to animals, and what people like this let happen. "Dumb cunt" doesn't even begin to cover it (it's also a less shocking term in other parts of the world than in the US)
What is this SJW crap? Victim blaming is a silly term to use here since in social justice rhetoric it tends to refer specifically to a disadvantaged group that is overwhelmingly blamed for crimes committed against it (women and rape, Trayvon Martin, etc). Come on.
I know you're joking, but the reason most animal rights advocates have to do so much work is because of all the people who don't really give a shit, which is most people, including most commenters on Jez and writers for it. That dog could have easily been sold to a dogfighting ring as a bait dog and I bet not two…
Your comment is incredibly condescending and I know way more about porn (being that I like it sometimes! Crazy, right!?) than just what Jezebel tells me. More and more studies are coming down on the side of porn being detrimental in a number of ways, and while the evidence and studies are ongoing and evolving, it's…
Lol, I think he's just amazed because by a certain point most heavy porn watchers, esp. men, need more and more novelty and more extreme stuff to keep experiencing the same level of arousal.
It's low in a world in which the most popular porn frequently implies exploitation and nonconsent of female actresses and features violent gangbangs/sex and degradation of women.
