I for one am shocked a brick and mortar retailer that sells physical video games and funko pops isn’t doing well in the year 2023.

Games have been $60 for about 17 years now. The fact that they have stayed here this long is incredbile since $1 in 2006 money is worth about $1.5 today. 50% inflation.

Yeah it’s a bummer you have to pay more but this is what happens over time.

If there is a way to produce verifiable decentralized ownership and artificial scarcity besides NFTs id be all for it. Love to hear it.

itchi.io charges literally 4x the commission for artists than opensea (Most popular nft marketplace) does.

I believe when these companies issue nfts they are inherently allowing permission to resell their digital content. All the ones Ive seen are allowed to be listed on online marketplaces and bought and resold. Sometimes creators get like percentage cut from all secondary sales so they still are making money when they

Being able to resell digital content like videogames/music/movies, collectibles online and taking money out of secondary resellers like Gamestop and into the hands of the consumers. For collectibles especially it’s not hard to realize how much easier it is to invest/collect digital goods as you can resell with a click
