I think this needs to be modified a bit. While your point is a solid one i believe that Asimov is only boring if you're not ready for him. So kids, try him out, if you're not sucked in, that's fine, but come back to him in a few years, you might find yourself far more engaged than you thought you would be on the

Thanks for the heads up on "Delirium's Party"... i had no idea that was coming out! Ordered it just now and i'll have it by thursday. Eeep! Thanks again!

"helped drill bits and saw blades move through materials cut through materials faster"

More than anything what i think your post brings into focus for me is just how few (or possibly none) asian actors there are in america that are given "leading man/woman" status. If we had more asian actors that were taken seriously it wouldn't be "necessary" to white-wash this, you could just cast those actors...

Oh that's awesome! Would she be told to do good things by her talking dog (played by your shifter of choice!)?

E-book readers are your friend! Trust me, i love dead-tree books, but as i'm currently in the process of converting to digital i'm making SO MUCH SPACE in my tiny NYC apartment... i will keep all my trades, hardcovers, first editions, and signed copies, but plain old paper-backs are OUT.

You made me lol at a much needed time, thanks!

I think there are two things you need to remember in this situation:

Meth-amphetamines! (ok, so not a virus, but really effective and just as likely to kill you and turn you into a zombie.)

"What we need is a virus that turns off the part of the brain that needs to be loved."

I've been trying to be better about watching older movies (I have a bit of a blind spot for anything pre-1960), so i'll add this to the list. Thanks for the rec.

I think we're in agreement here. I just wish the world would change faster, but you're right, and it is changing (SLOWLY), and that is for the better. I just have a knee jerk reaction to anything to smacks of keeping us in the same place instead of moving us forward. And hell, i totally enjoy the occasional read

the '50s movie? Haven't seen it. Is it good?

Thank you! I love your concept... if you can draw you should totally make that a comic.

While i agree that this is the way marketing looks at the world, i disagree that it is in fact necessary. As a man i don't get pandered to, i have tons of heroes who are not "ordinary boys" and I, and my male friends, lovers and acquaintances have never had a problem with that. Why do we assume that women need

Love the idea... now can we just get rid of the rampant sexual stereotypes and swap the genders? Or maybe at least give her math skills instead of liberal arts ones? Why oh why does the female character always have to be the powerless one? I know we're talking schlocky romance here, but seriously, if we want a new

Wait, Apok, as in RIFTS!? Holy crap, talk about flashbacks! Suddenly i'm 16 again and it's all about the Rifts world books... are people still playing that game? I thought it was all about the new fangled d20 systems and such these days, or has Palladium finally updated their rules?

There are, really, just, you know, not here right now. I... ok, actually, i got nothing. My gender are a bunch of pigs. *facepalm*

Really, on a friday!? Thanks for making it so that i don't eat all weekend, or really, ever again. I think i'm going to go claw out my eyes now.
