not only are you right, you get extra points for the PB reference.

Actually, to make it far worse, she mentions that she WASN'T the youngest ever. Lucas's grasp of politics (and the abilities of teenagers) is really really off. Almost as off as his concept of child birth.
I was going to say pretty much the same thing. Its the homogenized suburbs and infills that have lost (or just never had) this feature of reality. But New York, Chicago, New Orleans and, to a lesser extent, L.A. and Seattle all still have some pretty tasty underbellies with disreputable (read: poor) people doing…
Thank you for this! I was already to come in and start bitching about EVEN MORE ICE/SNOW, but this summed it up nicely.
You're slipping my child! Quick, re-watch the original mini-series while reciting the writer's prayer:
Oh the cheese, how it flows in glorious lumpy joy from every pore of this terrible terrible show.
Wow, looks like we're just DIVING to the bottom of the barrel here. It looks like they're not even going to try and make it good.
@Gonne: quit it, you're making me all nostalgic!
@serenada: That was the turning point for me. When he picked George and Nina, and the way he did it, i was all "i like this kid." And i LOVED his parting words to George. I can't wait to get home to watch this... stupid work "no video" rule!
@dong001: because they're all making up for the fact they were dorks in high school who had nothing happen to them? Or maybe i'm just projecting ;-)
@FrankN.Stein: We shall form the church of the Galactica Reformation where in only the first two books of the holy work are taken as gospel while the later books are clearly tools of the anti-christ. So Say We All!
@Alex Paul: hehehe, enjoy! you will never look at bilbo the same way again!
@BCWoods: If i have to start feeding my computer, i'm toast. I already don't have pets because I can't even keep a damn plant alive. I like computers BECAUSE they're inorganic!
So The Awakening is going to be...
NL is one of the rare cases where, in adapting the book, and in making it very different from the source material, the directer actually managed to create a work equal to the original. Different, but equal.
but what's really fun is when you stick two forks in something and then put it in the microwave. Homemade Jacob's ladder!
@serenada: uh, that's TOTALLY why i thought they were calling it that. I was all wow, more daring than the "Chris Angel is a Douche-bag" title and, also, way to get some semi-canonical wincest in there...
@Ursus-Veritas: Being Human and Misfits? Sorry, sorry, couldn't resist. Feel free to beat me with the "Moffat is God" truncheon.
@commanderkitty: heh, i have no idea, but i'll take whatever you're offering... i was (inordinately) proud of this one. ;-)
