Why the fuuuuuck do people still support this monster?
Why the fuuuuuck do people still support this monster?
*sigh* Where’s Stephen Crockett? I miss that guy. This substitution isn’t working for me...
So it could be that I’m sick and I’ve taken an unspeakable amount of NyQuil but I have no idea what this article is about
The more I read about Whitney’s family, the more I don’t like them. Damn
In most cases I would agree with you, but there is a part of me that thinks she wouldn’t mind the world finally knowing how much these two loved each other, and the hate and prejudice that kept them from being together.
This isn’t just some person. It’s Robyn. The central figure of her life before Bobby Brown came in to smear shit on the walls. I think she’ll have insight about Whitney that needs to be heart - that she wasn’t just the crack addicted hot mess she devolved into in her final years.
By the way, what are the Root’s writer’s thoughts on what’s going on at Deadspin and is there any threat of similar crap happening here?
I like Omar but her justification is weak. You can’t recognize one genocide unless you recognize them all at once?
For the latter part, the audience was killed off by a couple of stupid moves by the writing staff (namely blocking and greying most of the audience for simply not agreeing with them) and was barely pulling single thousands of views so in terms of standard business reorganisation it had failed to justify itself.
I’m in the same boat with you - didn’t read Deadspin that often because I’m not into sports, but when I did it was for their brilliant non-sports content. What management is doing to the site and it’s talented team of writers is a travesty. As soon as I saw that the comments were disabled I knew it was over.…
So Deadspin’s fucked thanks to Jimmy’s inability to run a successful business. Deadspin has now had all its comments turned off and several staffers have very publicly quit after the firing yesterday.
I honestly think they don’t care. They’re trying to figure out how to squeeze as much short-term capital out of the site as possible, before they sell it off at bargain prices to whoever is buying.
Deadspin has been my main entry into the GMG world for about a decade now, and the non-sports articles are still the main draw. I'll miss it. Won't be visiting the new version, and I think the same goes for almost all of the rest of us. Great move, bosses!
Yeah, David was a good weekend editor.
Yikes.
It’s feeling like ‘’The Day Splinter Died’’ a few weeks back. Not liking this one bit.
How long before Jezebel gets the order to stick to celebrity gossip and makeup tips? Cause that’s what the ladies want to read, amirite?
Honestly, this blog post has far too much sports-adjacent content, IMO. Needs less sports.
You guys are awesome. It is not hyperbole to say that this site often gets me through the day. Keep up the good work, and for the love of god do not stick to sports.
