Are you being ignorantly obtuse on purpose? All citizens are private citizens until they run for public office. It’s not like this is some magical new definition separating the two lots, it’s been this way since the inception of public office.

The National Enquirer doesn’t play at trying to report real news.

When Gawker invokes the core protections of journalistic freedom every time they right and defend a hit piece, you bet your ass I’m going to mention the associated ethical standards.

You don’t know what sort of arrangement he and his wife may have had. FFS, it’s not your right to know.

A-fucking-men.

No, I see no problem with a blog that stands by LBGT “pride” outing someone who works for a competitor based on rumor and innuendo.

is eagerly taking advantage of the unsupervised open space below to post your unneeded, unwanted and ultimately entirely impertinent opinions about the post or Gawker in general, I won’t bestow upon you the validation of acknowledging your individual poorly-thought-out and selfish comments, but I will say to all of

That’s not at all what he said numb nuts.

C’mon now. She clearly employs the weight of social media and shitty outrage culture as a means of targeting devs and content for things she finds offensive and “damaging”.

Most film and music critics don’t harp on and on and on about how their respective mediums are enforcing sexist attitudes and behaviors amongst their consumers (in spite of continual evidence to the contrary).

Counterpoint:

On the flip side, hiding symbols has NEVER worked to destroy the seeds of hate. Germany has had Nazi symbolism banned since after WWII and not only is there a growing nationalist/neo-nazi movement there, but over the last 5-6 years, they’ve actually elected 5 active neo-nazi party members to state parliament and one

I kind of agree with you that poor consumerism has put us in this position, but at the end of the day, it’s the devs/pubs job to get a working title to each and every individual consumer who makes a purchase. Poor consumerism isn’t carte blanche to pass the buck on a technical trainwreck of a title.

Was there any truth to the rumor that a WB games guy was giving PC gamers shit about complaining that the game was broken over on gaf or n4g or something? I remember reading something about it briefly on reddit and twitter.

Dude, it’ still a port, regardless of when it is released. The code is outsourced, hence “port”.

Lolwut? So villains aren’t supposed to behave like villains anymore? Villains should be nice and polite or something?

Aside from the false equivalence at play in your statment, SJW is a label, one that is actively embraced by a fair number of “SJWs”.

I’ve never actually pirated a game, and although I used to pirate music back in the day, since I started DJ’ing, I’ve purchased every single song I’ve ever listened to or played.

This article is BEYOND asinine. You act as if people have been hitting up flee markets, garage sales, close-outs, and all of the like for fucking ever, buying a bunch of shit that they may not get around to, simply because there is a good deal on the table.

Seriously... I’m having a hard time following Kotaku’s bullshit back-and-forth between the consumer being overly entitled and the consumer being preyed upon by the by bad gaming corps.
