That Steam early access game that they basically cut off unfinished is reason enough for consumers to be upset and suspicious. Additionally, his Broken Age KS suffered from such major project bloat that they had to cut the title in half and run a second KS to finish it.

Because he clearly has interest in doing it, and because he clearly has a marred track record on delivering on promises (games/content) at this point. I think people have a right to be concerned about his desire to dive into one of the most respected games in the adventure genre, when he's basically been kinda fucking

Jesus fucking Christ you're a nag. As if people wearing pink all thru the month of October, being mixed into nearly every sports/media event, isn't similar. It's awareness packaged in self-identifying with a given cause.

So, before the game goes "gold", making it cut content.

Which calls into heavy question any and all speculation regarding a GF project at all.

A) it's harmless, and

This is the same shit you used to be able to unlock FOR FREE simply for getting in a little extra gameplay time or meeting certain objectives in game.

We've seen, at most, a very early build of No Man's Sky. It's procedurally generated, meaning that comparing it to the world build that has to occur with SC is relatively unfair.

I would agree with that assessment if the core components didn't appear to be moving forward. The only major setback to this point was Arena Commander's initial delay followed by their 2 or 3 week secondary delay when it was supposed to be released to alpha backers.

Money wasted? What are you talking about? The modules have been in development concurrently, with parts of the game being released to backers as proof of development and eventual completion.

As others have pointed out (ad nauseum), FPS is, and always has been, one of the three core modules for the game... FPS, Privateer, Wing Commander, all online.

For projectile weapons, definitely yes. Don't know if I agree for all energy weapons tho.

Aside from the alpha release of Arena Commander being delayed by a couple weeks, they seem to be relatively on point with their core elements, so I'm having a hard time understanding where this POV is coming from.

It sounds like you haven't seen or played any of the alpha material. You can literally get out of your cockpit chair and move freely about your ship, or your hangar, etc.

The only thing wrong with this generation of gamers are the numbnuts who think typing in all caps grants them any authority in their sarcastic statements.

This isn't a stretch goal. It's always been intended on ships and stations. The only stretch goal involving FPS combat merely adds combat to select planets.

Given that the game has ALWAYS been about merging Wing Commander and WC: Privateer with persistent online multiplayer, the only item in your list of stuff that this game touches that is "new" ground is the FPS element.

To suggest that men (and women) can't and don't utilize the friend zone maliciously is asinine. While it's not typical, and men and women can be friends, whether friend zoned or otherwise, it's extremely ignorant to pretend that there aren't assholes out there that don't take advantage of a person's

Since you're talking about the harassment of women by trolls hiding behind gamer gate, I think it's ridiculous that you ignore the outright racism, mysogyny and harassment that has occurred against members of gamer gate (male/female/and all races). But since I don't get to use the "not all gamers" you don't get to use

"Considering all the harassment she and other women (and exclusively women) have received in gaming, they kind of make Sarkeesian's point with every rape threat."
