Pretty sure though that being branded doesn't result in slavery. It results in excommunication and expulsion. And any aid given to a branded heretic is considered a minor offense.

Not really, given the outcome of the game if you continue to choose the non-lethal option. And it's still a game of revenge. I looked at it as you either turn into the monsters who framed you (and take the city down with you) or hold on to a piece of your former self and preserve the city.
That's true. But I don't think that the developers had sexual servitude in mind when they present you with the option of saving her. They make the guy who takes her away from the city sound pretty concerned with her well-being.
It certainly didn't sound like that was what was happening, but maybe I'm too trusting.
Non-lethal stealth in Dishonored is, at least in this case, the more dishonorable option.
And Israel opens fire on civilian and UN targets even during a cease-fire.
I don't see why... it's from the Aussie branch. They aren't going to share the sensitivity to a date in time.
Two royal "we's" in short order (we're still quite a ways off for/I don't wager we'll reach), how else is it supposed to be interpreted?
You don't speak for all Americans. For many, we've moved on to some extent... We remember, but we don't let it dictate our perceptions. What's more disturbing is your notion that other nations haven't had to put up with similar or worse in the past 20 years (Gaza anyone?).
I'm liking the Norse-infused stuff like this and Banner Saga.
Lack of tact? Oh come on, now you ARE shifting goalposts. You're acting like we're all a bunch of sheltered children and that talking about a simulation game in relation to a real world event is some sort of terrible thing (PS, that's completely subjective and overly sensitive). Hell, the nightly news shows less tact…
You can't just blunder into making the claim that an article is bad and then opt out of the discussion, at least not if you want to be taken seriously.
No, the entitlement here is that you feel that your interpretation is the only one that should exist.
While I agree that some do, unfortunately, the Jewish population here in the states seems similarly divided. A few of my Jewish Chicago friends were quick to point out that there is still a lot of hardline support for Israel amongst the state-side Jewish population. And though they couldn't confirm it, they felt that…
Then in terms of active conflict, the only winning move is not to play.
This game is 7 years old and not at all relevant.
It's a game. It happens to deal with a serious subject matter, as plenty of other games have done. The article itself is about the developers and how they created the game.
Forever pertinent... The Greatest Speech Ever Made.
I'm sorry dude, but that's pretty thin. You act like the people living in the ghettos of Gaza should be gracious that Israel has basically rationed their resources and are giving it back to them for things like schools.
Well... that escalated quickly.
