It's not "getting someone interested" in a fight. They jar, typically ask if the other wants to go. And rarely in the pro game do true sucker punches occur.

This is the big one. It has a high participation and facilities cost, which is a big inhibitor to new players.

The game is remarkably clean, as are the fights, particularly compared to play in the 70s and 80s. But I've played on the college level where fighting is not tolerated to any extent, and the games are far more dangerous comparatively, because there is a relatively small level of on-ice enforcement by players. Shit

Kotaku is going to make a big deal out this, but people traveling on waivers get rejected all the time, athlete, businessman, student alike.

Fighting allows for a certain level of players policing themselves. Without it, the game would be a lot more violent behind the refs. There's a lot of shit a player can get away with in terms of illegal stickwork (slashing/hooking/spearing) that refs cannot possibly see or control behind the play. Knowing an enforcer

If that's why you think they fight, then you clearly have no idea what you're talking about.

He wants the community to donate to his "I haven't been paid" fund. Fuck the guy.

I disagree completely.

He fell into a business inheritance with an IT firm, and then seemingly pissed it all away on eSports.

He's asking the community to cover his losses...

Donations from the community to recover lost pay?

Piles of Shame? Is that really what we're calling it?

My mutt loses his mind in the snow. It's awesome.

100% agreement here.

You're only furthering his point that patent law is broken. These are sorts of things that shouldn't be patent-able.

Criticizing something and silencing something are two entirely different approaches.

They should be allowed to voice their opinions. Culture can and will judge them as it sees fit.

It's absolutely not. In trying to destroy racial bigotry, you should be influencing people's perceptions and understanding of the world around them, not simply silencing their opinions or views.

That's how it's supposed to be played. And you have to finish your beer before finishing the race.

Other honorable 64 mentions are Mario Kart Battle Mode shots. Three shots for every competitor at the start of a game. You take a shot the moment you lose a balloon.
