No. I like Blade II but it’s radical shift into gothic, del Toro-esque horror was jarring. I much preferred the bleak urban landscape of the original. but Blade II does have it’s charms and also has Ron Perlman which makes any movie great.

That quote is out of context. I watched this report when it aired and the woman who said it was genuinely looking out for the welfare of the kids. She merely wanted them to smile at them to try and brighten their day in an otherwise horrible situation.
