I’m so sorry. My dad passed away almost 4 years ago. He didn’t give two shits about Father’s Day but it hurts all the same. I “celebrated” by doing something he liked - eating something he liked, watching something he liked (or would’ve liked) etc.

Not quite the same, but when my sis died, her daughter’s was in May and she’d been determined to see that, and her birthday was June. On both of those days I spent the day curled up in bed crying. Father’s Day is in two weeks and it’ll be my first one without my dad. Have had a few minor ‘first’ holidays since he passed and they’ve been pretty depressing.  The next six months are full of the big holidays, including his birthday. Anybody who has experienced this type of thing and has advice, can you share it?
