you have to try and find something huh? You are really upset that I brought up the Bieber thing to counter your argument about what hip hop is.

“Nicki’s going to make money. And that’s the REAL hip-hop right there.”

But hip hop has not ALWAYS been about getting paid, any more than any other art form has always been about that. I don’t know how you’re forming that opinion but it’s not based on the facts of the creation and creators of the art form that we Olds were around for the early stages of.

I have heard several people who worked with him allude to the teetotal thing being a lie, just none of them have come out and said it. And really, he lies about everything else, why should we believe sobriety is the one place where he has chosen to be honest?

“Nicki’s going to make money. And that’s the REAL hip-hop right there.”

This statement right here, is why even the word “Sex” is censored on the radio :/

cop out

No, it wasn’t. So stop saying that. Either present evidence or admit you weren’t around and don’t know the motivations behind new art in the early 80s.

We disagree.

No. That is not the point of the art form. There are many better ways to make money.

Is the taxes thing actual law? All i kept hearing during the campaign is that it was “precedent” because all other candidates had done it, but there wasn’t an actual law involved. Here there is an actual law being violated.

If something like being transparent with his taxes wasn’t enough, something silly like disobeying the Presidential Records Act certainly isn’t going to get him into any trouble either. While I don’t think his statement that he could kill a man in broad daylight and get away with it is true, I am reluctant to admit

I guess that will mean something to her devoted fans.

Hip hop is a genre of music that came from a culture. The business of making money off of hip hop and its culture is not the same thing. Hip hop would have existed and will continue to exist whether there was/is money in it or not, because It is a form of story telling and it is part of the ancient ways of keeping a

Ha! I would have just left this all alone if Nicki-stans weren’t trying to proclaim that she won: “Let’s make a hashtag! Nicki’s number one on iTunes...” That’s not what this was about!

Right. She might just need to stick to doing Pop now cause Hip-Hop fans will never forget this. At least if she does Pop she could use her fans to fight her battles & use Beyoncé name. Let not forget her favorite, pulling the race card when it benefits her.

She knew better but she was thrown and it showed! I saw a bit of Safaree on Wendy Williams and he admitted Nicki lost this round. If only she was still with him or Meek, she could have put this out within 72 hours and at least stemmed the bleeding.

Hip hop is a business. But it is also a culture. It’s not black or white. One or the other. It’s a balance of both. However, failing in one, truly hurts the other. Nicki is currently failing on the culture side of hip hop.

the singing threw me off a bit. i understand she said this wasn’t a diss track per se but to make THIS be her response weeks later is extremely underwhelming. to be fair, i have never purchased a Nicki Minaj anything and this won’t change that. i’m just a bit over the hip-pop thing she does.

I agree. Ma shouldn’t have released that second track but it doesn’t matter, she destroyed Nicki. To me, the stuff about ghostwriters and how Nicki can’t be the queen of rap when she doesn’t even write her own rhymes hit the hardest and you know what? The fact that Nicki didn’t respond immediately attests to the truth

Hope she paid her ghostwriters well for this, because that was weak.
