My God! No! Is the Covid okay?

I don’t know what the point of this article even is, and I suspect the writer doesn’t either.

Bitcoin is fake internet money that is generated by a bunch of computers doing complicated math problems. Those computers need a lot of electricity and are often located in places with cheap, coal powered electrical grids

The entire transaction network for bitcoin is intentionally designed to require an absurd amount of electricity and be slow to verify transactions, for security reasons. It’s one of many stupid things about it. The entire thing uses more electricity than the country of Argentina, and the electricity cost per bitcoin

Ever wish they’d limit how long these things could be?

You sound like a hideous men’s rights / MAGA chud type and you’re not nearly as clever or funny as you think you are, but I gotta say, we’re on the same side on this issue. The “controversy” over the Prince’s kiss is straight-up nonsense.

They definitely kept her mentally at 7.

oh don’t get me wrong, i know that they DO it, i just don’t think they SHOULD

I assumed he wasn’t there because he’s 83 and we are still in a pandemic and he didn’t think he’d win.

Maybe we shouldn’t just hand out ostensibly merit-oriented awards to those who were merely ‘decent’ simply because they died?

I thought Boseman’s performance was solid. But I think enough people have straight up accepted that these awards can be cumulative, or a make-up Oscar, or a death tribute, as opposed to the single best performance, so the academy voters can start to seem petty when they suddenly, seemingly arbitrarily, decide to do

Yeeeeeeey lets melt the environment with a tacky memorial to a popular actor.  I'm so thrilled....

His father died in the late 70's - early 80's when Hopkins was still best known for his stage work.

Hopkins’ dad has been dead since 1981.

It was just nuts for them to plan an ending that could only work if they’d correctly guessed the winner.

It’s shitty for everyone involved, and no one deserved to be a part of that catastrophe. Hell, I love Anthony Hopkins in The Father. It’s arguably his best performance he’s ever given, but it would’ve been okay if he hadn’t won.

I’m not a fan of Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom, and I think Boseman is never more than decent

I’m gonna go out on a limb, and suggest the Oscars go back to the way they did it in the beginning, where the winners were announced en masse beforehand, and the ceremony was merely to hand out the awards.  I personally hate the competitiveness aspect of it, and think it’s undignified to ask people to come to the

Maybe if you want to consider the award as being cumulative for all his performances it’s warranted?

I’m sort of surprised so many people think Boseman should have received Best Actor (well, not that surprised, since folks often jump on the posthumous bandwagon). I thought his performance in Ma Rainey was pretty over done and hacky compared to pretty much every other actor in the film. I’ve enjoyed Many of his other
