“SCA, Ever Given requesting permission to re-enter the channel”
The ship has been interned by a belligerent foreign power. Based on my understanding of The Sea, the honorable thing would be for the crew to scuttle the Ever Given rather than let it fall into enemy hands.
Panama could not care less what happens to the ship or its crew. The owners/operators are just using Panama as a flag of convenience for the country’s favorable maritime crewing and tax laws.
I saw a headline elsewhere saying that there is a shortage of garden gnomes in England as a result of the ship’s delay.
Surely the government of Panama can wade into this fray and throw its international weight around a bit, right?
jfc a slideshow of user comments? This is peak lazy herb content.
Or you can, get this, NOT drive like a douche whether or not a crowd forms. This is 100% on the driver whether there was a huge crowd or nobody around for miles. Just because the crowd makes YOU want to drive fast as opposed to there being no crowd at all doesn’t make it the crowd’s fault.
On the other hand, s/he managed to keep a safe following distance, brake, and not be a part of the mayhem, so her/his driving makes up for any questionable personalization choices (like the exhaust tip) s/he may have made.
Are you serious? The people taking videos are not the problem.
Pffft, who’s going to stand around and stroke your ego in a deserted parking lot or dirt road?
What the hell is that ridiculous little purple thing following them? A Fiesta? It’s terrible.
Just before the accident....
If he’s insured, his insurance will cover it. All the video does is establish that he was at fault, and that’s what liability insurance covers.
Hey all you budding eyewitness phone filmers...
But enough about Nascar...
I’m pretty sure misplaced confidence is a standard feature with the Hellcat.
If you watch the first video you can clearly see that the Hellcat continues to push the Silverado into the curb. Hitting the curb caused the rollover.
Underrated sidebar to this conversation; how utterly absurd it is that the new Silverado is so big and tall that being broadsided by something with a nose as high, flat, and square as a Challenger is enough to roll it over. Absolute lunacy.
It's supremely distracting in the commercials.
