I have 2016 GTI SE and I love it. Paid about $28.5k for it. Today, the top trim GTI starts at $37k. Cheapest is $29k.

GTi has a lot to do with the fact that the R still basically drives like a FWD hatch.

Have you ever driven one? Good example of never meet your heroes.  They feel larger than they are, don’t accelerate, brake or handle well, and are crazy thirsty.  They are decent off-raod.
