Given my fascination with the Omen trilogy, I really wanted to like this show. I'm prepared to sit through one more installment of dull plotlines and lackluster supernatural weirdness before I give up completely.

Tim LaHaye is classic fire-and-brimstone and, as evidenced by his catholic-not-catholic rhetoric, he pays little attention to Christian theology. He seemed far more enticed with the idea of scaring the shit out of people, and that's exactly what those books did to me when I was a kid.
