"Does this battery pack make my butt look fat?"

@keehun: Thank you. I was hoping to know what was really being said. But the fakes subtitles were fun!

A) Pointless. We already have card readers for debiting users at these machines (we have a few Canons, used by the public). Each also has a coin box.

Good job with this article. One thing I think was missed in the Wish List: in email, why can't we mark stuff as spam?

Really want this to work right? Replace the mouse with a trackball!

"on the enemy's turf"

OK, so I have way too many email addresses, but it certainly gives me perspective. I have GMail, Hotmail, Yahoo, Mail.com, and a work email. OK, I actually have a few GMail addresses. So, how do they all compare for me (your mileage will vary)?

@Hasteur: But I could never figure out how to get that data into something like Rainmeter. Some of it is easy, but I can't get the moon data. Of course, I'm not a programmer, so I'm likely missing something obvious.

This is pretty cool. Worked for several locations I checked, though I agree with some that using a zip-code might produce more accurate results. What I'd like to have added to this is the ability to retrieve the moonrise and moonset times. (And no, Wolfram doesn't do these moon times either.)

@papayalily: Ditto! When I apologize for my typos, I generally state something about what led ME to make the mistakes, not what equipment is at fault.

I'd love to replace the speakers on my TV. It's fairly new and has a great picture (when Charter isn't screwing up, which it usually is), but the sound isn't so good. On first power-up, the sound is horrible, but then it warms up and sounds, well, kinda OK. I considered hooking in some decent computer speakers I

@Ollie Broadway: You mean the Starbucks blight has spread beyond this continent? I'm sorry. We tried to contain it.

@hnkelley: Now I can say with much more confidence that I don't care.... 'Cause I just got the email saying how handsome I am!

As I understand it, the ratings for an individual's looks are from OKCupid presenting pictures to members for grading... a lot of grading... which actually (if this is the method used) could be a fairly accurate way to rank a person's looks. But, ya, it's just looks.

@poolek: On an older HP thin client with an AMD Mobile Sempron 2100+ 1GHz CPU and 1GB RAM, I'm running the older version of Rainmeter with six skins, most on a USB monitor, and using only about 6% of the CPU and around 25MB of the RAM.

The shutdown script, as amended and/or simplified, is pretty cool. Easily done, but not something I thought of and REALLY NEED to do so I remember to go to bed!

I mostly use a thumb drive since I'm on a lot of machines that I don't want to log into my dropbox, not to mention the thumb drive is faster.

@RenRen: Not just you... definitely a high point here.
