I do because I’m 45. Most people won’t. Pepperidge Farm?

If they go underground, they can act like martyrs. They will claim their ideology is “too dangerous” for the establishment, or that they are being silenced, and they will be correct. Angry young white men get off on shit like that. It’s just like criminalizing drugs makes them more romantic somehow.
I lived in Boulder, CO also. The video stores there weren’t that much better. I still spent more on watching movies. They still had less than I can rent on Amazon.
That one looks pretty good. We had Black Lodge Video here in Memphis (which is actually about to re-open). I grew up looking through the shelves for inspiration on stuff to watch and still respond to that on some level. I just hate paying late fees and renting stuff, only to not getting around to watch it (in addition…
I get where you’re coming from, but now you get it instantly for free.
I still don’t know what mythical mom and pop video stores y’all used to go to. Mine wouldn’t have shit. Some of the stuff was damaged. Anything new or cool was checked out. Is this like nostalgia for 8-tracks?
It’s great and Mike Allred was perfect for the art.
So did you vote for Bernie Sanders because he was a white man, or did you vote for Trump because he was a minority orange man?
That 1996 Chevy Blazer with 170,000 miles on it will still be there in 6 months, if you really want it.
I can’t tell you how many movies I had to purchase through Blockbuster because I forgot to return them. They would charge 50-75 dollars. Things are so much better now.
They offer the streaming channel associated with the NRA, which isn’t great. They also donate a portion of everything I buy to St. Jude through their Smile program, which is good. I’m not going to cut off my nose to spite my face.
Also, FilmStruck is great. I just subscribed to it a few weeks ago.
Amazon has a shit ton of movies that are available to rent or buy and not part of Prime. They all cost less than 20 bucks (which is a fraction of what people used to spend on VHS movies and comparable to dvds). There are more movies to watch than people have time to watch them. The streaming era kicks serious ass for…
All of the characters on that show are great. It’s what makes the show stand out from so many other “kids’ shows.” On the deep cut list, I love Tree Trunks.
I want the tag line to be “You have a right to choose...Murder!” or “My body, my Murder!”
No, I just thought it added nothing to the movie. I thought it was unrealistic that his friend would just happen upon the scene at that particular moment. I’m glad other people enjoyed it. I didn’t (the ending not the movie).
I’m editing this because it was unnecessarily hostile. I don’t think I was being condescending. I was trying to be civil. I think you are piling on and basically calling me racist for trying to be civil. That offends me. I don’t think the other commenter needs you to fight their battles. Get Out was an important movie…
I am white and I accept that I can never understand where black people are coming from or what they experience. I don’t think anything I am saying is revelatory. People learning things can be the point of some movies, but, moreover, showing what problems exist in society (sometimes through exaggeration) is the point…
I don’t mean to belittle any experience that people of color have with cops. I think that it would have underlined how difficult it is for people of color to overcome everything that is thrown at them (after dealing with all that shit, he still gets fucked). I respect your opinion though.
I think I would have preferred the original ending. It had more satirical bite.
