Wow, that's a weird coincidence, my comment on the last review was about what he meant by the show always being in Steven's perspective. And that's the first thing he addresses here.

Yeah I kind of understood what he meant but having Steven in a scene doesn't necessarily make it from his perspective. And the whole episode of sapphire and rubies' backstory was mostly without steven too. So they've had at least one episode where he is not in it for a majority of the time.

"Is the cut to the Diamond control room a break from the show’s commitment to only showing Steven’s perspective? (Also, is Shelby Rabara going to join the main voice cast?)"

Didn't she give up spying on her citizens in that episode?

Why?

Well to be fair, the ice king episode was more telling of the ice king than this episode was about BMO.

But there's a big difference there, Finn and Jake get to live a comfortable and free life whereas Jermaine would have literally been stuck in a small house. Sometimes the things handed down to you aren't really fair and you need to decide if it's really worth it.

Why can't he be both? A bad person and his father.

What is a drip-feed narrative style? I looked it up and i can't find anything on it.

they were cute

omg i forgot about zoombinis i played that so much as a kid

I don't know, making a character a little bigger wouldn't make me perceive them as more vulnerable but maybe that's just me.

scientific parasites?

That's the difference I guess, because I'm aware that she's playing a character and it doesn't bother me. In fact it only makes me more interested that she has created this world that she's never known herself. I don't think Lana has ever tried to imply she grew up in the '60s on hollywood boulevard, so I'm not sure

same. it's funny when people call pop music guilty pleasure. the fact that it's pop mean a huge percentage of people listen to it. btw, what does "but bland is death in music" mean?

What criteria does one use to determine if something has meaning? People photograph beautiful landscapes for the feeling it gives when looking at it. Is that meaningless just because it doesn't have a deep message? Lana is a fantasy artist, fantasy and escapism serves its own purpose and can indeed be artistic.

'50s? the album screams late 60s to early 70s to me.

she's no satirist
