Paul George’s demands:

Suarez was expecting to feast on Russia’s players, but not exactly like this.

Plus Morocco, who was a sexy underdog pick before the tournament, somehow being under the “not frauds” section even though they’ve lost twice and are out.

After yesterday, Poland are no longer a country, and are therefore ineligible for the fraudulence rankings.

Belgium beat up on two nobodies. They should be moved to maybe frauds.

That’s a nice little promotion you have there. Be a shame if something happened o it.

You’re right, I am a quiz wizard - I’m also Balkan myself and old enough (48) to have lived thru that war and all kinds of other messes in this region, reading & analyzing long before “blogs” even existed...
Sure the Albanians are pissed - they have every right to be. As do the Serbs, Bosnians, Croats, North Macedonians

Judging by his tats collection, I’m guessing this wasn’t his first dubious impulsive decision...

Nicely one-sided analysis there.
First of all, in the Balkans there are no “good guys” or “bad guys” - that’s a cliche the West falls back on so as to make sense of this mess. As we did in ‘92-94 with that ugly war - we had to make things simpler, so we painted the Serbs as actual Nazis to make it a black & white

This seems more like a Jack Sock kind of move.

I agree. He’s being a jerk-off.

It’s tveezers...

Greek football is contractually obliged to produce shithousery and madness. And firearm incidents.

So, you’re implying that transgenerational racial animosities, involving the horrors of ethnic cleansing and genocide, might lead to emotional reactions that some people perceive as less than sportsmanlike behavior on the field?

I hope that FIFA manages to cut through all the BS surrounding these Swiss players, pick through the evidence with tweezers if necessary, and we can say that the world saw that the organization still has a little utility.

Serbia once again guilty of genoffside.

I wouldn’t worry. Problems in that area of the world rarely turn into something bigger.

Wow. That’s some heavy shit. I wish I’d known about this before the match. When Shaqiri scored and stripped his jersey off, I thought only of the announcers I’d heard during Stoke matches giving him stick for being a selfish player. This explains a HELL of a lot. Responding to fans who are mocking you with t-shirts of

Sadly, the Albanian flag’s symbol is the double eagle, which can be considered provocative. Why didn’t Shaqiri just stick with the Swiss symbol? That one is much more positive...
