You can upgrade it for free to Windows 10 pro if you do so by EO December. Otherwise it’s a $50 upgrade. So it’s definitely a laptop that could grow with you if you decide you need more out of it later.

It’s a different rendering engine underneath, completely redesigned/written. Google “EdgeHTML.dll” or Edge engine that’s the new one. IE6+ used “MSHTML.dll” or the Trident engine for rendering. zdnet did an article on this as well.
