Yes, absolutely. The character Mindy Lahiri is weird in all sorts of ways, that prison episode came off bad for me too. Unlike Nisha Chittal's assessment, and as a South Asian woman, I find it seriously un-refreshing to see an Indian women only snog white men on TV. While South Asians on TV is still coming into its own, there are lots of pieces of fiction that chart the interracial swirling of Indian and White—I want to see variety.
