I think the reason the older Subarus looked sleek was because the boxer engine enabled them to have a low bonnet (hood) so could have a slim wedge shape. The later pedestrian impact regulations meant that the bonnet had to be higher, which rather lost the slimness.

In the UK, and probably the rest of Europe, the driver’s mirror has a section on the outer edge that provides a wide angle view. Like the button ones but part of the main mirror so you see it all as one view.

The Transport font used in the UK and which Clearview is similar to, has a heavier variant called Transport Heavy (natch..) which is used for dark text on a light background because the background tends to wash out the text a bit. It doesn’t appear that Clearview has an equivalent heavy/bold version, so that might
