Completely agree. I just saw Rise of Skywalker and thought it was rather enjoyable. I did not care much for the Last Jedi, so yeah, it follows your trend.

That is a fugly car. The front isn’t terrible, but not great looking either. The rear end looks like they just gave up and didn’t finish styling it. That awful rear wheel well too, yuck.
I initially wanted to NP this but a flood title in a heavily electronic car is usually a no go zone. It would be a great price if it had a clean title. Gonna CP this one.
When someone is selling a seemingly intact car for parts you ought to take them at their word, especially a German car that will cost 3-4 times that to make right and then will only resell for half of what you put into it. CP.
CR-Zs are great after ripping out the electric motors and 1.5li engine then swapping in a K20A.
I have quite a few friends whose sole car is a Model 3. Then again, their longest drives are from SF to LA, and there’s plenty of Superchargers on the way. Worst case I suppose they can always borrow a car from a relative or rent one.
Even if the market isn’t large enough now, not investing in EV tech is going to put them behind the competition when the demand catches up. Case in point: Toyota hybrid and EV tech is miles ahead of Honda’s.
As much as I love Honda, they need to get their ass in gear on electric cars. If they think that people are going to continue to put up with having to go to a gas station in order for their car to run (even if it is a super efficient hybrid), they seriously need to smoke some weed.
Maybe one of the largest and most successful carmakers on Earth sees more value in delivering reasonably-priced products with mass appeal over competing with Pedoman and his magical tent cars by blowing R&D on expensive pseudo-luxury EVs in a niche market.
seeing this hurts. my uncle parked this car in front of my house when i was in high school. i used to bug the crap out of him to let me buy it so that i could get it running, it was a deep navy with a navy interior. the wheels were solid chrome and the windows tinted. the interior was in great condition and smelled…
I take issue with you calling a combined 26mpg or 29mpg combined, depending on the engine choice, as “average” for a vehicle with the capability of an Outback. AWD, good clearance, tons of storage, etc. As long as you’re not an avid offroader or rock crawler, you now have a 25mpg vehicle that meets your slightly…
“overlanders and Jeeps that have clearly never been on anything gnarlier than a gravel road”
My brother recently bought an Outback, lifted it and put bigger tires. My wife and I just bought her an Outback and the first thing I did was put rally mudflaps on it. Now she wants a basket for the top. I like this trend. I don’t need to go fast, just a good daily that’s quite capable if ever necessary.
Someone who works at the McDonald’s that i passed on my way to work had one and traded it in for a fucking Escalade. Like WTF.
Because GM is where good ideas go to die. Look at GM history, great ideas, strong engineering but either never executed or if executed done so poorly it flops.
Or they could just weld together flat sheets of stainless and call it a Cybertruck. Why worry about stamping body panels?
You’re not wrong. This is the way.
