seeing this hurts. my uncle parked this car in front of my house when i was in high school. i used to bug the crap out of him to let me buy it so that i could get it running, it was a deep navy with a navy interior. the wheels were solid chrome and the windows tinted. the interior was in great condition and smelled

I take issue with you calling a combined 26mpg or 29mpg combined, depending on the engine choice, as “average” for a vehicle with the capability of an Outback. AWD, good clearance, tons of storage, etc. As long as you’re not an avid offroader or rock crawler, you now have a 25mpg vehicle that meets your slightly

“overlanders and Jeeps that have clearly never been on anything gnarlier than a gravel road”

My brother recently bought an Outback, lifted it and put bigger tires. My wife and I just bought her an Outback and the first thing I did was put rally mudflaps on it. Now she wants a basket for the top. I like this trend. I don’t need to go fast, just a good daily that’s quite capable if ever necessary.

Someone who works at the McDonald’s that i passed on my way to work had one and traded it in for a fucking Escalade. Like WTF.

Because GM is where good ideas go to die. Look at GM history, great ideas, strong engineering but either never executed or if executed done so poorly it flops.

Or they could just weld together flat sheets of stainless and call it a Cybertruck. Why worry about stamping body panels?

You’re not wrong. This is the way.

The VehiCROSS will always be a cool car. I have spoken.

I’d buy one, ...maybe I should try to start a Lada import business in Wisconsin.

Yeah, my Scion is at nearly 200,000. Mostly highway miles. Bought it at 140,000 for like $4k. Had some exhaust work done and regular maintenance. I think how a car is driven is far more important than how far.

Under no circumstance should anyone buy a Dodge Dart

and I would like a small saloon, but need to ensure the kid has enough room in the back,

Easy. The answer is about 50 miles more then whatever miles are on the car you’re looking at. Because that is about when you’ll figure out exactly what is wrong with it unless you get it inspected. Seriously, just do it.

When is it ever cheaper to build a band new technology from the ground up vs using one that already exists and has a proven track record (excuse the pun)? Plus the article stated that getting a semi decent rail service from Cleveland to Chicago wouldn’t be all that difficult. Trains are a fantastic form of

You need to get out more. In Europe I traveled between countries almost exclusively by train and it was frustratingly simple.

Why shouldnt the midwest get one? North Haverbrook has one! That’s where the Monorail is KING!
