Seasick. Both.
Seasick. Both.
Anyone want to talk about Mary Kay Letourneau and Vili Fualaau separating? It drives me crazy that every article about it refers to their relationship as “an affair” or an “illicit relationship” instead of flat-out calling it statutory rape.
I remember a story that Simon Cowell told in a review years ago, where he and Seacrest were on a flight, and Cowell sold Seacrest he was letting himself go and getting fat. Seacrest totally freaked out, and went on a diet.
Exactly. While I admire Dems for not being afraid to examine people in our own party, we could all take a page out of the GOP book re: putting up a unified front. Democrats are too quick to turn on their own and rip them to shreds (especially the further left you go), but you’ll hardly find Republicans tearing each…
So I’ve been reading comments on other sites today which is never good for my bloodpressure, and can I just reiterate 2 things that most Jez people know:
“Report: the Democratic party remains very stupid.”
Xi came to Mar-A-Lago, complimented the president’s house and cake and probably Ivanka, had a 10 minute conversation with Trump educating him about the situation between China and North Korea, and was able to COMPLETELY CHANGE TRUMP’S MIND. Because that’s how it works when you are dealing with the lazy and the…
What exactly is China trying hard? Or shouldn’t I ask?
Wal-Mart epitomizes almost everything modern conservatives claim to hate. The stores are filled with products made overseas. Wal-Marts drive ‘family’ owned businesses into bankruptcy and have devastated small communities. The wages are so low they actually help their employees apply for government services.

I also REALLY appreciated Rachel when she mentioned she went to therapy. God bless her. The guy’s reaction (I have not learned their names yet) was kinda priceless, like “Oh shit, I’m on TV, I better have a good reaction” She is so normal, so fucking smart, and definitely way too good for this show. I really REALLY…
The idea that artists can only ever make art about people and events from their own ethnic heritage is... exactly what white supremacists used to say: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/V%C3%B6lkisch_movement
Its a very slippery slope when art can be criticized not for its intent, but for what feelings and opinions it elicits from its audience. And this doesn’t just apply to static sculpture, this applies to all forms of art; music, film, etc.
If “I’m offended” is now the standard to have art removed from public, God help…
Co-opting? Marginalizing? Hate crime?
I don’t know how its not the whites’ “story”. They were the perpetrators. It seems a pretty powerful piece of art in support of the indigenous. I am failing to see why this engendered a protest...
A lot of orchestras hold “blind auditions”: hopefuls play behind a screen, with the process arranged so that no hint of their gender presentation or race reaches the panel. These orchestras suddenly found themselves hiring people other than white men - even though they’d honestly believed they hired on merit alone.
At 46 she’s directed 6 features (most of which fall somewhere between warmly received and critically acclaimed) and Bill Murray’s Christmas special. And she has an Oscar. And now is only the second woman in the history of Cannes to win best director. She’s doing alright.
