Liberals aren't liberal any more. Or at least, many of them aren't. They're regressive in that they've appropriated values long associated with the far right, particularly a deeply held anti-free speech belief.

No. The fact that the CSA was abolished means the South did not win the war. It was pretty decisive, actually. What you're talking about is culture, and you're welcome to your opinion regarding that as a win of sorts.
