No love for Tubthumping?
No love for Tubthumping?
It's stuff like that why I hate ideology… I hate what it does to people… the illogic of it… I hate how it poisons life.
There's no, "I get what he's trying to do," about it.
Not literally true. It likely took 3-5 minutes to read. Maybe a minute to write those two sentences.
His tweet about Paul Ryan and the young teen girls who survived cancer was just about one of the worst things I've ever seen on Twitter. Ever.
I've always said it's possible to hold contradictory opinions on just about everything and anything. I never said my ideas were great… just that they're something that make logical sense to me. Disagreement in and of that is where better ideas can be found.
Both sides are dumb. And if you can't understand the logic of that, ipso facto, you're dumb. :-)
I think a bar exam for journalists would be a very good thing.
Journalism is, or should be, an honorable professional term.
Thanks?
If you think he's not, your brain is already mush.
I disagree. And Vox does employ only activists, as surely as Salon, Slate, PJ Media, and Mediate do.
You may be correct, but in giving people the opportunity to see that:
"Exclusively made of people of means from a handful of elite institutions."
I see your point, but when we have people in this country who do not trust real journalists because places like Vox, who employ activists for one point of view as opposed to honoring truth above all, keep confusing the issue as to what is and isn't real journalism, something must be done.
I disagree. And it's because of the problems we have right now, with activists like Matt Yglesias running around claiming to be journalists, that I disagree.
So… I'm guessing reading comprehension is non-existent from whence you came, or, you're illustrating a startling kind of ignorance that belays a much bigger issue:
That's not what I'm saying at all. I said professional accreditation. Not government / bureaucratic.
Two Fucks for Bella made a good point, however, I'm not simply going to take you at your word, as some are, that you work for an actual journalistic enterprise or are an actual journalist.
That's a fair point. More than a fair point actually. I'll retract my request based on that principle. Or at least… modify it.
