The "well actually" level on these articles is always incredible. "Sorry man who does this for a living, let me explain how my anecdote actually invalidates your position." Never change you sweet idiots.

Suboptimal to say the least

Detlef casually swatting the ball away like Jean-Ralphio is a child brings me joy every time I see it.

I have to admit that I really liked Russillo when they had him doing their NBA podcast. While that was a horrifyingly long time ago (7 years maybe?), the tighter time limit seemed to limit his worst tendencies and he had worthwhile stuff to say. Plus it led to him (rightfully) crushing Henry Abbott for saying Kevin

As someone who works at a public law library, that is 100% their plan. I have answered so many debt, car buying, and car buying debt related questions that I don’t have to look at the statutes anymore.

C’mon man, if you’re going to do this, do it right. Everyone knows the bowsprit is the sexiest part of a ship.

Tube sock seems pretty generous. I’m guessing Brent is more of a no-show man.

I know no one else gives a shit about this, but microfiche can’t unspool because it’s a flat sheet. That’s why the federal government loves it so much, you can put hundreds of thousands of pages of stuff in a single cabinet that no one will ever look at again.

So my wife and her then roommates used to work at the Berghoff, right when ownership transitioned to the current generation of Berghoff. They ended up doing a deal with Buffalo Trace to get their own Berghoff branded bourbon as part of updating the place, which means that Buffalo Trace sends you a box of 20-30

I was always a Soupbox man myself. They even let you mix the soups!

Yeah, I think it closed when I was in college? I guess I didn’t think anybody would have booked him that recently.

As a native of Kalamazoo I have to know where this was. Club Soda?

My dad is still the only person I’ve met who could land and refuel EVERY TIME. He’s not good at video games, but for some reason was a Top Gun savant. I never made it past halfway through the 2nd level. He always seemed so confused that it was so difficult for me. And somehow, Top Gun 2 was still a worse game.

I’m not really sure it belongs on this list, but I really enjoyed the heck out of Unity of Command. Fairly easy to grasp for a war game and simple, beautiful visuals.

Right, but they don’t have to give you the can. Crowd vendors at Wrigley (and I’m pretty sure U.S. Cellular) carry a big stack of plastic cups in their tub and pour your beer from the can into that to avoid this very problem.

I used to work at a place called the Pritzker Military Museum and Library in Chicago and you could certainly donate them there. They have an archives for artifacts (the flags and hat) and rotate displays fairly often, so anything you donated would probably see some use.

Still waiting on that sequel they promised me in the credits.

The Berlin Wall for me. I’m kind of surprised the collapse of the Soviet Union doesn’t seem to be more of a thing. I guess maybe the Gulf War preempts that for a lot of people.

Have a star just for Ice Hockey.
