Spend one summer afternoon in any European capital and you’ll understand that there is no such thing as too tight emissions control. You guys have it right, don’t complain!

If I ever had to sell my car I’d definitely not enjoy riding shotgun while some stranger bounced it off the rev limiter, slammed on the brakes, etc. Yet I definitely wouldn’t buy a car without first experimenting how the engine pulls at WOT near redline, how the brakes feel…
