Bingo. This has been a GM mantra for an eternity. They offer a product that is amazing, only to kill it off internally by refusing to market it. Saturn remains as their biggest and most epic effort to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.

The problem is, GM keeps telling consumers what they want instead of listening to what consumers want. New flash GM, we didn’t want this thing, we wanted this one:

After having driven the new sedan, just give me this with 2.5T, AWD, The Auto’s fine.

Wow. Yeah, that’s really a shame. Mazda’s have such a (deservedly*) good reputation as driver’s cars, I could see them taking some market share away from Subaru et al. It’s like they’re leaving money on the table (though the CX cars, especially the new small one, seem to be aimed at this segment as well.

The fact we don’t get this is a damn travesty...

So, this is going to go much like we thought it would. It seems like a nice wagon that many of us may consider when car shopping. The dealer makes no effort whatsoever and would much rather put us in a crossover that’s loaded with rebates and discounts. The wagon doesn’t sell because people aren’t going to pay full

Except not all 50 states have a left lane law. Our legislature failed to pass it here in Oregon.

Be impressed by what I just pulled out of my BMW 850 on Tuesday

I’m shocked a 200 lasted a full three years

I’m shocked a 3 year old 200 is $14k. I wouldn’t have paid that much for a new one.

You can’t ask people what their feeling is the week of their layoff notice.

NOTE: I’m aware that the AMC Eagle is a thing and sorry for the mortal sin of not mentioning it. However, this article is about a future trend prediction and given that the Eagle inspired absolutely no followups for 30 years, I don’t think it really is worth mentioning as a precursor to a greater trend. /end rant.

Cue Musk/Tesla fanboys, 3...2...1...

Dear Tesla, Show me Autopilot calmly plowing through a February snow storm in the hateful, pre-dawn darkness of a Detroit commute or fuck off with this.

It means more Tesla crashes

Will each car come equipped with NTSB investigator in the trunk?

And for those reasons it should be a surprise that they even managed to sell 183 of them new when the price was what like 80-100k? Neat but a silly premium for a stick in a car that won’t be more fun for it. CP.

And why would you think that? I don’t see Lamborghini being even remotely interested in hydrogen for anything. From a performance standpoint, there’s literally zero benefit to hydrogen over gasoline. In fact, there are several detriments.

Does that include the bankruptcy?
