I hear you!  Often, if you google “low cost therapy” + your city / town, you can find options that cost less, or are willing to use a sliding scale.  Another option for lower cost therapy would be to contact a university program, and see a therapist who is earning their hours pre-graduation.  It can be much cheaper,

Well, since everyone is telling their horror stories, I guess I’ll offer up my non-horror story. I have actually used Pride Counseling for around six months now. I was dealing with pretty severe depression and anxiety, and I knew that I needed help, but I live in France, and frankly, the prospect of trying to seek out

Hello. I’m a therapist who takes insurance (technically my agency bills insurance and pays me a salary, but still). There’s argument to be made that taking insurance negatively affects clients, as well. To bill insurance, we’re locked into a very rigid model of what we can do, when, for how long, etc. For most

Who fucking cares if he said it or not? The only people who have been making a big deal out of it are the media and Sanders supporters. Warren supporters dropped this a long time ago. It’s old news. Water under the bridge. If that’s the *only* thing you can come up with to show a Warren supporter hates Sanders, then

You’ve likely heard it before, but insurance companies generally pay therapists - and other medical professionals - far less than what it would take to keep a private practice in business. There are all kinds of unfair caps or maximum reimbursement amounts that would make it impossible for them to make a living

The main problem is the insurance! Each insurance company makes the doctor/office group jump through multiple flaming paperwork hoops just to be considered by said company, and then for every single patient they have to restart the paperwork all over again. Then the company does a forms adjustment, or the patient’s

“It also brings up questions about how a person’s intimate, supposedly private sessions might be exploited by advertisers, an industry that isn’t exactly known for operating in good faith. And while there’s no reason to believe the information Better Help is collecting will be weaponized, there is still some stigma

Not a Kamala fan either, but why did Amy get a pass on her record which is similar? White privilege.

Two flour white states had their say and apparently the primary is over’ is the most enraging, defeatist sentiment I’ve come across, and I think a good amount of it, especially what’s being pushed by networks, must be intentional. Good on you for pushing back!

warren delegates are more likely to go sanders than sanders delegates are to go anywhere, if ‘16 is any indication.  i honestly dont know where we’ll be but i dont think we win by settling at such an early stage in the game.  come november, hell yeah. but now, with 2% of delegates? or even after super tuesday, with

It’s not a protest vote. Your state is not a winner take all state, so your vote counts for something. The nominee needs delegates and coming in third vs fourth because of your vote helps.

I get what you are saying but I disagree that any vote in the primary is a protest vote. This is exactly where you vote for who you prefer over most other candidates.

They didn’t learn anything because they - the men in charge, the white male CEOs and almost all white male editorial principals - didn’t *want* to learn anything.

“they really love Warren but now that’s she’s done, they are looking at someone else”

IDGAF, this is the primary and I'm voting Warren. If she doesn't get the nom, I'll toe the line, but the entire premise of a primary is to vote for who you actually want to get nominated.

I feel like the press is so bored they have to turn all of this into a goddamn game show, and we all get to pay the price. Our politics is stupider, our understanding is shallower, and our democracy is slouching into ruin.

I hope you appreciate this takedown of Pete B. as much as I do. I couldn’t quite figure out why he bothered me so much, but I now have it articulated for me by a better writer.

I like where you’re going with this. The only quibble I have is how about still voting for warren in the primary to show that’s who you really want to vote for? I fear that how ever many votes down Warren might be, for the rest of our lives we’ll hear a woman can’t win because only x amount voted warren in the

I really don’t understand how Mayor Pete is doing so well.

I was hanging with friends this weekend and we got on to politics. More than one in the group said they really love Warren but now that’s she’s done, they are looking at someone else. When I said “she’s not done, you can still vote for her” they were like, “Oh...right. I can still vote for her.”
