in a way, I can see a Rush Hour type show working if only because the maverick/straitlaced pairing is tried and tested. But it would need to have some sign of life behind the scenes. Don't really see that happening here

Gone Girl, Wild, Brooklyn, Still Alice, Room, Carol have all been called "made for TV lifetime movies" despite visual designs that are purely cinematic. So yeah I do think a lot of people see "women's stories" and think "not worth time, only for housewives"
