Yeah...and? Good for her. As long he loses something I am perfectly fine with it. And just because he is an asshole doesnt mean she is one.

Sorry but to judge her, because of him is bullshit and doesnt make any sense. If anything it is the same prejudices that people are (rightfully) pissed about at other things. So

We’ll likely never know, but my assumption was that if he’s this abusive in public he’s almost certainly abusive at home. Possibly she’s taking this opportunity while he’s in custody to start proceedings while he’s unable to physically retaliate.

This incident perfectly encapsulates why I was never comfortable with the idea of #BelieveWomen and always got into heated debates in the comments regarding the notion that “women don’t lie about these things.” From the Scottsboro Boys to Rosewood, FL to Black Wallstreet in Tulsa, OK to Emmitt Till, White American

I’ve been trying to think of how to respond to Joe Biden’s documented creepy behavior (separate from the allegations) without giving him a “men of that age” pass, but I do think you have to consider the times.

There’s a lot in Blazing Saddles that is in poor taste but, by and large, Mel Brooks was punching up, not down.

Her next appearance will be on Maury, I’m sure.

From praising Joe here in 2017...

As evidence, you need look no further than Reade’s own Twitter timeline. Before she became a big-time Sanders supporter, she strongly supported Biden, including praising his work towards halting violence towards women.

And the female lawyers and journalists who are actually working to bring these cases to light don’t say, “Believe women” means, “Every accusation is the absolute truth, full stop.”

This is the correct take. As important as “believe all women” is as a movement and a state of mind, I’m inclined to think “investigate all accusations” is a safer method.

They’re not good for anything more than a hilariously vague yes or no question and definitely useless for something as specific as we’d like a criminal investigation to be.

I don’t know if she’s telling the truth or not, but can we stop pretending polygraph tests are anything but bullshit? They certainly aren’t “lie detectors.”

If I wanted to combat the notion that my sexual assault accusation was politically motivated, I don’t think I’d hire a prominent Trump donor to represent me, then recruit Megyn Kelly to interview me.

Biden was forceful in his denial. Tara Reade is forceful in her story. I doubt they moved the needle for anyone who wasn’t already on their respective sides. Will this blog writers like to help out here? How is someone supposed to defend themselves without a “a shallow MeToo gloss”? Biden himself has been respectful.

Michigander, here. They are mad that they had complete control of state government for eight years...and now that don’t. They are also pissed that the public prefers Governor Whitmer’s handling of the crisis by 60-to-70% every time the question is polled, while Trump has a net negative in the state on his handling of

For comparison, meanwhile, at the Michigan capitol:

Shit is out of control. We don’t need social media lynch mobs.

Your essay makes me uncomfortable. I honestly don't know how to help or be an ally. I work with kids in the family court system, either through abuse/neglect or juvenile delinquency/incorrigability. I want to fight for these kids, the majority of whom are POC. How do we do that without becoming a "good white person"?
