To be frank, almost everything I have read of Millar’s has induced some level of eye roll, with the main exceptions of his Superman Adventures run and Aztek.

Green Arrow as a social activist started with Denny O’Neil and Neal Adams in the late 60s. He was paired up with Hal Jordan in the fantastic Green Lantern/Green Arrow book where Ollie tried to knock some sense into Hal the space cop. It was one of the first socially conscious released from the Big Two and dealt with a…
It is a disturbingly common thought. I have heard it a lot from McCarthy apologists and those who claim that slavery was beneficial to the slaves by bringing them to the US and introducing them to Christianity.
Should that matter? Shouldn’t a public servant be held to the same standards no matter who they serve?
Wouldn’t he have been a public servant in his position as Attorney General of the Chiricahua Apache?
What the hell? What’s so wrong with Times New Roman?
Or how about when they use both a colored background *and* colored text that work together to make half of the message illegible? *That’s* Fortune 500 level communication!
Hold up, wait a minute, now who’s talking crazy?!? They had Sasheer *and* Leslie Jones. Are you saying there might be more than two women of color qualified to be on SNL at one time?!? Tell that to all the straight white guys trying to find an outlet for their unique points of view!
Even had she gotten that spot, wouldn’t she have been just as wasted by the show?
The Ostrander/Yale Suicide Squad book spun off from the same event miniseries, Legends. That Suicide Squad book is just as good as the movie was shitty. I go back and read both series regularly, and both are near the top of my list of books I recommend/lend to people who express interest in trying superhero comics.
I like this: Booster Gold by way of Capt. Jack Harkness. :^)
If you haven’t read the Giffen/DeMatteis JL book from the late 80s/early 90s, that might do it. Those are some of my favorite comics of all time and made me give a damn about Booster, Beetle, Guy Gardner, Elongated Man and Sue, and Martian Manhunter.
Quite frankly, this makes me long for a continuation of the Giffen/DeMatteis/Maguire FKA Justice League minis. Maybe Scott and Barda Free, Beetle and Booster, Guy and Ice, Bea and Mary Marvel, and the Dibnys all neighbors in the Coast City suburbs and staffing the JLI embassy there. :^)
Take My Wife is funny as hell.
Dammit, I should have checked my spelling. I had it right, but I second guessed myself.
Considering the topic of the podcast, it really is amazing.
Boooooo Hessssssss
Some very funny ladies:
It is extraordinarily frustrating trying to read new Big 2 comics on a regular basis, but there are some Wonder Woman gems to be found.
“gone” the way of Liefeld
