I have never heard of a Latin American family having the attitude of “Once you’re 18, you’re on your own.” I thought that was a white people thing?

Just want to say that I’m Hispanic, and all of my friends are Hispanic, and that we all still live our parents, our parents paid our ways through college, and are still supporting us. So this article’s insistence that this is just a “white” thing is a little weird to me.
