It didn’t seem to exist at all. There were the two guys escorting Jon out of the city, but there were only Wildlings at Castle Black. I think it was just a ruse to trick Grey Worm. The Night’s Watch no longer exists, and everyone else knew Jon would run off with the Wildings.
My final verdict: I was pleased with the end. I've had many issues with the recent seasons, but I thought the ending was fitting and overall I've enjoyed the series.
I’m with you. I love the sense of full immersion in a world, & for whatever may be its flaws, GoT the show definitely had that. I’ll go ahead & say I am on board for whatever prequels and/or sequels they have a go at.
