This is one too. But more advanced. A steam plow instead of a shovel, so to speak.

Look at World of Warcraft real quick.
Because if there was offline, no matter what they did or didn't do that did or didn't help the situation, wouldn't matter because people would be able to play the game they bought.
Wasn't there unregulated multiplayer and regulated multiplayer? Wouldn't it be incredibly easy to just skip the unregulated multiplayer entirely and force online everything for that, while having offline mode for singleplayer?
Just because it has multiplayer doesn't mean you have to be always online in singleplayer. That's how Diablo and Diablo 2 worked, and it was fine. Full multiplayer, full singleplayer. Seperated.
It *IS* something people might have, you know, planned to play at midnight when it activated. Because people like to do what they enjoy, and that enjoyment can come with entertainment. Not to mention how much Blizzard hyped the midnight launch. Which has become a miserable failure as people can't play the singleplayer…
Can't log in, wouldn't it be nice to play offline while they fix their servers? Stupid forced always-on online :/
Good. The ideal is that you make a game, and then a sequel to enhance what worked and correct what didn't. Then you move on to use those learnings on a new concept.
How could someone think sitting and listening to it for 25 minutes is boring? 25 minutes is too short!
GFWL actually causes problems, Clippy's just annoying. The answer is obvious.
I wouldn't say it got a high rating for unknown reasons - inFamous 2 does PLAY very well. The problem is the story, almost exclusively. That and fire and ice powers being evil only and good only with no reasons other than YOU HURT THE GOOD GIRL'S FEELINGS. YOU ARE NOW FULL EVIL. WORSE KARMIC TURN THAN SLAUGHTERING A…
Er. Thought you said Prototype 1, not inFamous 1. Mph. Admittedly the first was okay, plotwise. It wasn't as terrible as inFamous 2's (which is what angered me most of all), but things like the girlfriend choice and whatshername the first boss going nowhere rubbed me the wrong way.
[blanked]
Yeah, I did like the plot of Prototype 1, so there's that.
Probably finish Prototype 2. Though the story angers me. Why can't I have an openworld superpower game with a good story? I still feel irked by inFamous 2's ungodly terrible endgame story and now this.
Short yet deep? It's longer than like, 2/3 of modern games :p
As someone who has a BRD player (strapped to a game console), I love when they do that. It means I can play it on my PS3, or slip the DVD into my computer or something. Or play it on the XBOX upstairs. It actually motivates me more to get the BRD release when it's both, since the DVD is usually cheaper. Basically…
This may well just be my most anticipated game. This is such an amazing concept.
