A) I absolutely understood your point about USB-C. I just don’t think it’s a big deal because of adapters, which are frequently included when you buy devices with only USB-C ports.

The last few times I’ve purchased items with exclusively USB-C ports (my and my spouse’s current phones and my spouse’s new laptop) they came with a USB-C to USB-A adapter, and a few years ago I bought a 2-pack of similar adapters for use with my older phone and the Switch (when undocked) for about $10.

Sure, but CD keys aren’t a one-time-activation item. You punch it in when you install it and you can use that CD on any number of PCs, one at a time (or, occasionally, many at a time since they only needed the CD for launching the game). Then you can sell it and the next person can use it on any number of their PCs.
