Many of the reviews of the 200 mentioned the terrible programming of the 9 speed transmission, and the unrefined base 2.4 engine. I suspect that is one of the problems that the nice looking 200 has. Honda has a much more enjoyable 2.4 Earth Dreams engine in the Accord right now.

I think that to the common person (us) it is a bit hard to see the changes. But considering that Toyota compromised the TS040 development last year for this car, they have probably changed a lot. Also, the main downfall of last years car was the power train, so expect to see Toyota get a nice boost in competitive pace…

Supercharged FA20. DO IT LOTUS

Since the EJ is not only larger, but is also top-mounted, I would imagine that it might have similar packaging problems on a production 86. It would be cool though.

The turbocharged FA from the WRX has a top-mounted intercooler, which has packaging problems due to the 86's low hood.
